[11 Dec 2007|10:47am]
So I've been lurking myspace lately and what's with everyone that graduated in 2k3 getting 2kheavy? Weird.

Anyway, I'm three days strong with my attempt to quit smoking for the umpteenth time. It's getting easier. It's good.

I got accepted to Juilliard's music theory / composition program this past summer. I mean, it's great, but I'm not sure if I'll be returning next year. It's a lot of work and we won't be getting to the good stuff that's relevant for composing in the 21st century until my fourth year. Fuck that.

I've got the name associated with mine and I think that's more important than anything I might potentially learn.

Uhh what else... I started a vocal demo about a month ago with this producer from Israel. It was a great learning experience but I decided that I need my own material / music. So I'm allowing myself 6 months to get 10 solid, amazing songs and moving on from there to do a demo with my own work. I've been writing off and on for the past year and I think I finally found my voice as a lyricist.

The whole goal is to be signed by next year to an indie label.. we'll see, we'll see.

It's a pretty exciting time to be Keith Edwards.

New York is lonely. I miss having a group of friends to hang out with all of the time. Okay, basically I miss Leah and Rikc.

La-La-La-La-La-La-La-a-a [30 Aug 2006|12:42am]
Four years ago when 14 year old girls were hot for my pussy, I'd have an endless supply of comments coming in. Now at age twenty-one, I'm lucky if that random guy from California comments.

The Lame Train [27 Aug 2006|06:59pm]
I wanted go to the gym today, grocery shop, look for a tote bag, possibly tan, but the L train had another idea in mind. Seriously, what the hell. It was supposed to be closed down for the weekend from 12:00 am - 5:00 am, not the whole day.

You can imagine my shock when I went to the subway stop yesterday and saw pink tape blocking the entrance. God. It took me two hours to get home and I ended up taking a cab in the end because Brooklyn is strange and confusing (and there were minorities everywhere).

E! is live at the Emmy Awards red carpet. Bye!

Jamba Junk [22 Aug 2006|11:55pm]
There's good reason why Jamba Juice is popping up all around the United States. Their tasty, healthy smoothies are made out of all natural ingredients and have competitive prices that keep our checkbooks happy. What's not to love, right?

Well, each lovely beverage is served inside a wonderful styrofoam container. This for me always begs the question, "Is plastic really that costly?". I would think most businesses would avoid styrofoam at all costs due to bad PR, especially ones trying to market themselves as a healthy alternative to fastfood. "Good for your body, bad for the environment!!"

Eh, the district manager I called earlier today didn't seem too bothered by it, so I'll assume neither will most of you.

I'd really like to start a grassroots effort a la McToxics, but I think I'll just go to starbucks more often. At least they pretend to care.

That's So Raven [06 Aug 2006|03:59pm]
This morning I woke up to find a stranger lying next to me in a pool of his own urine. Fine, it wasn't exactly a "pool" but there was a portion of my new futon that was noticeably darker and damper.

How do I know for fact it was urine, you ask? Stranger, you say?

Well, I met the kid last night and he more or less decided to crash at my place. Fine. He was mildly attractive and I was tired, a two hit combo for a passionate night of me trying to sleep and him attempting to get on me every five to ten minutes. I guess he didn't believe me when I said, "No, we're not having sex. I'm tired. If you're coming to my house, I'm sleeping."

So I woke up today and found him naked beside me. Maybe this was his last resort for ass before he had to leave? No, no it was not. You know how it's annoying to wear clothes when their wet? – That was his motivation. Twenty minutes later or so he decided to tell me that (and he found this to be thoroughly amusing) when he drinks too much he tends to wet the bed. "Oops! :)"

. . .

I stared at the dark spot on my mattress for what seemed to be hours. Surely this had to be some kind of joke, people don't really do this. A Twenty-three year old that has his BA in Graphic Design and works for a well-respected magazine can't be a bed wetter. Wrong.

After reality set in, I more or less went off on the unsuspecting fellow. And what was his resolution to make things right? A sorry accompanied with a ten dollar bill. An apology and ten dollars hardly makes up for the amount of man power it's taking to get the urine smell out of my mattress and ruining my day off.

I'm taking this all in as one big lesson, guests sleep in the tub.

I really can't afford myself. [15 Jul 2006|03:37am]
Okay, I understand that we shouldn't put a lot of stock into material possessions and blah blah blah. But Please, Lord, tell me.. why am I not allowed to have nice things?

I've lost a countless amount of designer sunglasses and my last pair was stepped on by some random hispanic child when I was in the park. My sidekick II experienced water damage a few weeks ago and now the letters J, Z, and T are gone forever. And then, just now, I merely drop my camera when taking (very hot) myspace pictures and it turns off never to turn on again.

Is this a sign that I'm long overdue for an electronic upgrade? Should I take better care of my valuables? How long until my ibook poo's out?

You could have at least broken something I don't care about like my nose or my shins or something.

Gosh.

Roseanne is turned on and I am turned off. [06 Jul 2006|11:39pm]
I moved to Williamsburg (Brooklyn!) this past week, here's some pictures of the apartment:

The living room with my bedroom in the distance.

The Bathroom! (Special bonus: I poo'd in there for the first time today)

Looking at the living room from my room.

The Kitchen/Breakfast nook.

I'll show you all my bedroom later this week when I get important things like a dresser and a mattress that isn't supported by air. Deal?
